See You Again |
I know her voice has been messed with so it's deeper than what it actually is so that probably makes it sound better but I've just heard a live version on youtube and it doesn't sound half bad. Oh reading that, does that mean her real name is Miley Cyrus? Well whatever she's called she's pretty adorable.
Talking of adorable American sometimes-blondes, I was watching a "Fall From Grace" programme about Britney last night. It just made me feel a bit sad really. I've always liked Britney. I don't know whether that's something you're meant to admit or not but I do like her. I think she's fairly transparent and the things she does you can always see why. But I also think that after having babies people often suffer a lot in ways that "normal" people can't really understand. I just think it was very low of her family not to look after her. Post-natal depression can have long term affects if it's not dealth with. You'd have thought as protected as Britney was someone would have perhaps suggested that it might be that that's causing her problems. Just made me a bit sad to watch it to be honest.
Anyway, enjoy the Hannah Montana song!

Fake Posh? |
I watched the Victoria Beckham Coming to America programme last night. It was aired in the UK as well as America. I assume been as it bombed in America it'll have the same results here. Personally, I quite enjoyed it. Only because I do like watching celebrity's showing how they live their lives. Well, come on, it's not like I'm ever going to be a part of that world and, to be honest, I don't ever really want to be, but I'm nosy so I like seeing how other people live. I think Posh wanted to show she was "normal" and "fun" and "Check out me, I do actually smile." Well, I kinda knew she smiled cos I've seen her smile plenty of times. I've never understood why people claim she's got a moody persona cos I remember the days that when she smiled the press would scream, "Stop smiling: your smile is scary!" Well, if you want her to stop smiling that pretty much limits her facial expressions to either a freakish frown or the more popular pout. Jeez, I don't care if the woman smiles, pouts, frowns, cries or laughs towards the paps. They seem to love each other and that's what makes a happy relationship, isn't it?
The programme itself was actually quite funny. Obviously a lot of it was staged. And I do wonder if her Personal Assistant wasn't just some actress they rounded up. She either really was that bemused or else it was a big fake. I suspect it was a bit of a faker. But who cares if it's fake, right? The entire celebrity world is fake - so why not their reality shows as well? *
I feel like I missed out on the whole Celebrities Rule The World thing. I don't read newspapers, I don't really ever buy bitchie girlie magazines, I don't subscribe to them piss-take blogs. I just totally missed the entire phenomenon. I didn't really get the whole Pap thing, either, for a very long time. I was into my Buffy and Angel when that craze took off and I don't think Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz were really hounded round Los Angeles that often. So I don't understand why I'm supposed to hate the person the paps follow around. Why is that? Because they're popular? Because they look good (I personally don't think they all do)? Or is it because they enjoy the attention?
Whatever the deal is with Posh - fake or real - her programme made me laugh and kept me sitting down on the sofa for an hour, which to be honest I don't do very often for TV programmes these days.
*turns out she was an actress. Apparently they said at the beginning of the show (missed that bit, I was saying goodbye to Ray). There you go. Can't fool me, huh? ;)
